Every year, members of the Central Valley Kenyan community and the wider network of friends in America, gather in Fresno CA, to raise funds for GOW Foundation mission of providing Kenyan students the opportunity to complete their high school education.
This amazing act of love toward strangers goes a long way into helping young men and women pursue dreams that would otherwise be improbable.
In their application statements, GOW Scholars often speak about their ambitions in life. One stated she’d like to be a doctor. Another one wants to be a pilot, an engineer and so on. Our goal is to make sure their dreams don’t stay as just a dream, but grow into something realistic. We want our scholars to be productive members of our society and hopefully down the road they will also give a helping hand to others.
This year, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have postponed our annual fundraiser as we monitor the situation in Kenya and the United States. Changes on work environment and school closures have had an impact that we are yet to fully quantify. We anticipate our students will need us even more as result of job losses and economic turmoil resulting from the pandemic. Therefore we will depend on our existing donors to continue supporting us and also introduce us to others who can join us in this noble quest of educating the next generation of leaders.
We appreciate all the support we have received from the Central Valley Community, our friends in California and all over the US. Your Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.
Every tax-deductible donation to GOW Foundation goes toward making sure there is one less student who will miss an opportunity to succeed in life.
Every little donation counts. We thank you for your donation and may God bless you and replenish your coffers.
