EVERY MOMENT COUNTS
The Gordon Oloo-Were Foundation (GOW) was founded in memory of Gordon Oloo-Were, an educator who believed nobody should be denied an opportunity to gain an education. Oloo-Were always encouraged his children to pursue education to the highest levels telling them “education is a gift that nobody can take away from you.”
It is in his memory that GOW Foundation is pursuing a goal of helping as many students as possible to attain secondary school level education in Kenya.
Our mission is to identify high school students with the desire to pursue their education, but lack necessary financial means to achieve this goal.

Excerpt from personal statement of high school junior Alice Buong, 2022 GOW scholarship recipient.
